Lama Changchub Tsering
Lama Changchub Tsering is the head teacher at the Karma Tashi Ling Buddhist community and has been its principal lama since 1994. He lives at the temple and has spent more than three decades teaching, guiding and passing on the Tibetan Buddhist tradition in Norway.
He was born in Nepal to Tibetan refugee parents and grew up in Darjeeling, India. From 1988 to 1991 he completed the traditional three-year retreat, a thorough and intensive lama training, under the guidance of his root lama, the highly respected Kalu Rinpoche.
Since arriving in Norway he has led countless meditations, courses and retreats with great knowledge, humility and devotion. He is known for his warm presence, his clarity as a teacher, and his ability to make Buddhist teaching feel alive and relevant to the challenges people face today.
