Vinayaka Bhat is a traditionally trained Sanskrit scholar, priest, and musician from Heggarabail, Karnataka, India. He holds a Master’s degree in Sanskrit from the University of Mysore and a classical Vidwan degree from the Maharaja Sanskrit College.

He serves as the main priest (purohit) at the Shri Mahaganapathi Temple in Heggarabail, where he performs advanced Vedic rituals and upholds a living tradition of devotional practice. Alongside his priestly work, Vinayaka is a trained Hindustani classical vocalist, regularly performing in nearby cities and integrating music as a natural extension of his spiritual life.

Rooted in a traditional lifestyle, he is also engaged in agriculture and maintains a close relationship with nature, including a deep care for cows and the land he lives on.

At the festival, Vinayaka will offer teachings in upāsanā (devotional practice), classical Sanskrit, and Vedic meditation. His sessions combine depth, clarity, and lived experience, guiding participants into authentic meditative practices grounded in tradition.
